A man was arrested on Wednesday for hacking into a cell organization's database and transferring the data of its subscribers on a site.
Mubashar Shahzad, a resident of Kasur, was
arrested after the National Response Center for Cyber Crime (NR3C) of the
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) followed his IP (web convention) address,
FIA Director Usman Anwar told The Express Tribune.
He said Umair Qazi, a senior director of a cell
organization, had documented a complaint with the FIA a couple of days ago. The
complainant said data on organization's customers work 2006 had been spilled
over the web.
"A technical/forensic investigation found that the site
[www.earlysms.com] was being facilitated by hosterpk. The FIA followed the IP
location, email address and telephone number of the suspect through the host
organization," he said.

He said a FIA group had arrested Shahzad in a strike after they
followed the IP location to a shop in Ghalla Mandi, Noorpur, Kasur.
"The group seized PCs holding folders named Warid
information… two desktop PCs, hard
drives and convenient travel permit drives were seized from the shop.
He said the NR3C research facility in Lahore found that the
seized drives held the cell system's database.
Anwar said the website had been blocked.
